The Role:
As a Senior Manager of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, you will lead a team of manufacturing engineering experts who support a global network of manufacturing, supply chain, and quality professionals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the ongoing operation of manufacturing lines at contract manufacturers and facilitating the transition into production.
- Analyzing process and product failures on the manufacturing line, conducting root cause investigations, and implementing corrective actions.
- Overseeing manufacturing processes such as assembly, printer calibration, and verification testing to guarantee industry-leading reliability and quality.
- Fostering collaboration across projects as a player-coach, addressing complex engineering and operational challenges.
- Managing manufacturing technical readiness as a vital member of cross-functional NPI teams, focusing on manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and industrialization.
- Handling the intricacies of transitioning into manufacturing, including resolving first article inspections and product assembly issues.
Your Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, industrial, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years in an engineering management or leadership role, with at least 5 years of technical experience in manufacturing engineering for complex electro-mechanical products.
Experience with remotely managed NPI and contract manufacturers, transitioning high-precision products from prototype to mass production is essential.
Proficiency in production quality metrics, GD&T, and process qualification procedures is required.
Strong analytical skills using statistical methods and structured problem-solving techniques are necessary.
Willingness to work onsite in a dynamic environment and coordinate with colleagues across different time zones is expected.
Occasional travel to vendors and production facilities may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with product development processes and Six Sigma certification is a plus.
Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools will be advantageous.
