Pastry Chef Specialist

CUT by Wolfgang Puck, a leading fine dining group, seeks an experienced Pastry Chef Specialist to join their team in New York. This is a high-volume, fast-paced environment where creativity and precision are essential.
About the Role:We are looking for a skilled pastry chef with at least 2 years of experience in producing and plating pastries, desserts, ice cream, and sorbets in a la carte environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry arts, be able to work well under pressure, and maintain high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare, setup, and serve breads, pastries, desserts, ice creams, sorbets, and special request items according to departmental quality standards and specifications.
- Assist in producing and plating pastries, desserts, ice cream, and sorbets, and breads for daily lunch and dinner service.
- Understand and maintain all standard pastry recipes.
- Ensure all food supplies necessary for service are in appropriate supply on a timely basis.
- Inspect all food products to ensure high quality and presentation.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in pastry production and plating in a high-volume, a la carte environment.
- Demonstrate adequate pastry production and plating skills.
- Open availability, including weekends and holidays.
The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. CUT by Wolfgang Puck offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and opportunities for professional growth.
