Cayuga Health System is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities- Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule patient appointments, check patients in and out, and collect outstanding balances and co-pays.
- Administrative Support: Assist with additional scheduling, such as labs, x-rays, procedures, or testing, and send orders as needed.
- Health Certifications and Business Office Duties: Assist with Health Certifications and other Business Office duties as assigned.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; previous medical office experience preferred.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent customer service and problem-solving ability, good computer skills, and ability to think through potential solutions to issues.
- Education and Experience: College-level training/education in a healthcare support field preferred.
- EMR Experience: Previous EMR use/training helpful.
- Physical Requirements: 90% sitting, 10% standing.
- Location: Onsite at Ithaca College @ Hammond Health.
- Hourly Rate: $16.00 to $19.00 per hour.
