Patient Service Representative

Cayuga Health System is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient intake, including greeting and checking in patients, verifying and updating patient demographics
- Assisting patients with filling out consent forms
- Receiving and processing cash and credit card payments for medical services rendered
- Initiating calls, pages, and triage phone calls
- Assisting in admissions, discharges, transfers, and fulfilling other customer service or clerical duties
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Professional manner and appearance
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Good time management and prioritization skills
- College-level training or education in a healthcare support field
- Previous EMR use or training
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge of medical terms and practices
- 80% standing, 20% sitting
- Onsite
- Per Diem Position
- $15.00 to $23.00 per hour
