Job Summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient intake, including greeting and checking in patients, verifying and updating patient demographics
  • Assisting patients with filling out consent forms
  • Receiving and processing cash and credit card payments for medical services rendered
  • Initiating calls, pages, and triage phone calls
  • Assisting in admissions, discharges, transfers, and fulfilling other customer service or clerical duties
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Professional manner and appearance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good time management and prioritization skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • College-level training or education in a healthcare support field
  • Previous EMR use or training
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of medical terms and practices
Work Environment:
  • 80% standing, 20% sitting
Location and Travel Requirements:
  • Onsite
  • Per Diem Position
Pay Range Disclosure:
  • $15.00 to $23.00 per hour
