Position Overview:

The role of the ISR Operations Support Specialist involves serving as a pivotal Operational Specialist (OS) dedicated to enhancing program flight operations as an Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Subject Matter Expert (SME). This position requires working collaboratively within a small, cohesive team to provide specialized knowledge that aligns with mission objectives. The specialist will engage with various Department of Defense (DoD) entities and agencies to promote innovative product development, ensuring that client capabilities are aligned with both current and future operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the ISR Operations Support Specialist encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Executing mission planning and operations support for both internal and external stakeholders before and during missions, while overseeing flight following on the Joint Operations Command Watch Floor.
  • Maintaining continuous communication with aircraft throughout all flight phases via mIRC chat or beyond line-of-sight satellite communications (BLoS SATCOM).
  • Reviewing and developing critical documents such as collection decks, Air Tasking Orders (ATO), Special Instructions (SPINS), and Air Coordination Orders (ACO) relevant to major joint air, ground, and maritime operations.
  • Deploying internationally to collaborate with U.S. Military Forces and/or Foreign Allied Military Forces in Tactical Operations Centers within the Military Intelligence Community.
  • Preparing and delivering mission briefings, conducting debriefings, and compiling after-action reports (AAR) as necessary.
  • Providing technical, tactical, and operational support in Signal Intelligence, Electronic Warfare Analysis, and Mission Planning to both internal and external clients.
  • Facilitating real-time communication and information sharing with aircrew and ground assets during all flight phases using Tactical Data Link and chat systems.
  • Operating ground-based communication systems and maintaining accurate electronic and hard copy records.
  • Offering guidance and mentorship to less experienced personnel as needed.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • Eligibility for TOP SECRET/SCI clearance and successful completion of a Counter Intelligence (CI) Polygraph.
  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
  • A valid United States Passport for the duration of deployment.
  • Proven experience in airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance operations.
  • Recent operational experience within the ISR mission set is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster positive working relationships with tasking authorities, local officials, customer representatives, and team members.
  • Full deployability in accordance with theater entry requirements.
  • Operational proficiency in geospatial software, MS Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Willingness to complete any required training courses.

Preferred Experience:

  • Technical understanding of government communication networks and computer systems.
  • Experience in ISR, geospatial/imagery intelligence (GEOINT/IMINT), and signals intelligence (SIGINT).
  • Recent operational ISR experience and familiarity with international operations.

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in management or a related military discipline, or 8 years of relevant experience. Educational requirements may be adjusted for extensive applicable work experience.

Travel Requirements:

  • Expectations of 60/60 rotations to international locations with minimal travel while within the continental U.S.
