Position Overview

As a key member of the healthcare team, the Clinical Care Specialist will work closely with licensed medical professionals to evaluate and manage patient health through comprehensive assessments, including interviews, medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations. The Specialist will follow established medical protocols to interpret findings, formulate initial diagnoses, and implement appropriate interventions to support the ongoing health needs of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough health and developmental assessments, documenting findings and identifying patient concerns.
  • Collaborate with licensed medical professionals to order and perform necessary diagnostic tests, analyze results, and determine the best course of action.
  • Communicate the purpose, preparation, and expected outcomes of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to patients and their families, while engaging in educational discussions about health maintenance.
  • Assist in developing and executing care plans that may include various treatment options, prescribed medications, and referrals to other healthcare providers.
  • Identify and manage both acute and chronic health conditions in partnership with supervising physicians, adhering to established clinical guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments and care plans in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Enhance professional knowledge and skills through participation in educational seminars and training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with medical documentation and billing practices, as well as healthcare regulations.
  • Provide training and support to clinical staff and may assist in the education of students and interns in specialized techniques.
  • Deliver emergency care and initiate life-saving measures as required, including basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).
  • May be required to provide care at various locations as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of organizational policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current board certification and state licensure as required.
  • Preferred experience of two years in a clinical role as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory.
Analytical Skills

Ability to address practical challenges and navigate various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Proficient in interpreting diverse instructions presented in written, oral, or diagrammatic formats.

Technical Proficiency

Successful performance in this role requires a solid understanding of computer information systems.

Work Environment

This position operates within a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, and filing systems.
