In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing grant programs, working closely with law enforcement agencies, and assisting them in obtaining federal and state grant awards.


Key Responsibilities



  • Work with current and prospective grantees to develop and implement successful local criminal justice projects and programs.
  • Assist law enforcement and criminal justice agency constituents in obtaining federal and state grant awards.
  • Manage the day-to-day monitoring and provide technical assistance to grantees.
  • Help solve problems and engage in grant review, monitoring, and management processes.
  • Participate in the development and presentation of grant writing training to improve constituent applications and program outcomes.

Requirements



  • Experience with grant-funded programs and activities, including grant review, grant monitoring, reporting activities, or comparable experience.
  • Experience administering or monitoring grants-related budgets and/or financing.
  • Documented experience in applying state and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Experience and ability to perform complex technical duties, such as reviewing and prioritizing budget expenditures and reimbursements under multiple programs.
  • Documented experience working with criminal justice agencies or in a human services field in a professional capacity.
  • Considerable documented experience in preparing reports and making presentations to management, staff, and/or stakeholders.
  • Considerable experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, and e-mail software to include a high proficiency in excel spreadsheets.
  • Documented experience working as an active, contributing team member, as well as an independent and self-motivated employee.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to think strategically and cross culturally, and independently implement new initiatives and projects.
  • Ability to articulate, both orally and in written form, clear and concise program objectives and goals and summarize achievements of programs in reports and other documents as requested.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines, handle multiple assignments, changing priorities, and ensure timeliness and quality of completed assignments.

Additional Considerations



  • Documented experience in managing multiple grant programs, including experience with the grant application process, reviewing, monitoring, and providing technical assistance related to grants.
  • Documented professional experience with grants management in a government agency.
  • Documented experience ensuring compliance with grant performance measures and reporting requirements.
