WestCare Foundation is a leading provider of residential and outpatient treatment services for individuals struggling with addiction and mental health issues.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Counselor Technician Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing general client supervision, milieu management, and program operation support.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential social services, preferably with experience working with the criminal justice/substance abusing population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the security and well-being of clients through continuous monitoring of the facility and grounds.
- Provide general client supervision in daily living activities and program operation.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports as required.
- Conduct medication calls and searches as necessary.
- Monitor and enforce program rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; degree in Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, or related field preferred.
- One year of experience in a residential social service setting providing services to the criminal justice/substance abusing population.
- Basic computer skills and good documentation skills required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
Working Conditions:
This role requires working primarily in an office or residential/outpatient treatment setting, with some outdoor activities possible. The ability to de-escalate situations and work with diverse populations is essential.
Compensation:
The estimated annual salary for this position is $47,520 - $52,160, based on a 40-hour workweek and assuming a moderate level of experience. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
