Role Overview

As a Senior Enterprise Sales Executive at Pinecone, you will play a critical role in driving revenue by identifying and securing new enterprise clients. Your expertise in data analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies will enable you to effectively communicate the advantages of Pinecone's offerings to prospective customers. This position demands a strategic approach, outstanding communication abilities, and a proven history of surpassing sales goals in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Formulate and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to identify, engage, and penetrate enterprise accounts.
  2. Establish and nurture robust relationships with key decision-makers, including C-level executives, data scientists, and IT leaders.
  3. Comprehend clients' business goals, challenges, and pain points to position Pinecone's solutions as essential assets.
  4. Deliver product demonstrations and presentations to highlight Pinecone's capabilities and advantages.
  5. Work collaboratively with marketing, product, and customer success teams to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction.
  6. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to finalize agreements in line with company objectives.
  7. Remain informed about industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies to effectively position Pinecone in the marketplace.
  8. Achieve and exceed sales targets, consistently contributing to revenue growth and the overall success of the organization.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related discipline; MBA preferred.
  2. Demonstrated success with 5+ years in enterprise sales within the technology/software sector.
  3. Experience in selling usage-based products that necessitate ongoing customer engagement.
  4. Thorough understanding of data analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies.
  5. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  7. Ability to excel in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
  8. Self-driven with a focus on results.
  9. Willingness to travel as required.
