Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Patient Access to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of our patient access functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and manage a team of patient access staff, providing guidance and direction to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient services.
    • Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives that align with the organization's strategic plan.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of patient access functions.
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of patient access, including appointment scheduling, registration, and insurance verification.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
    • Monitor and analyze operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Financial Management
    • Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and compliance with organizational financial policies.
    • Monitor and analyze financial metrics to identify areas for cost savings and implement strategies to improve financial performance.
  • Quality and Compliance
    • Ensure that patient access functions are delivered in accordance with organizational quality and compliance standards.
    • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and experience.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as healthcare administration or business.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in patient access or a related field, with a proven track record of leadership and management.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and organizational standards related to patient access.
