Key Responsibilities- Registration and Verification
- Obtain and verify patient demographic, financial, and clinical information for accurate registration and billing.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date patient information is maintained in our system of record.
- Insurance and Benefits
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, and notify patients and referring physicians of any discrepancies.
- Obtain necessary authorizations, pre-certifications, and referrals for patient care.
- Communication and Customer Service
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely registration and access to care.
- Operational Efficiency
- Collaborate with scheduling departments to identify and prioritize patient registration and access needs.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance patient registration and access efficiency.
- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in patient access, registration, or a related field.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and registration systems.
