Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable/Raw Materials Specialist to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. in Redmond, WA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing day-to-day tasks, including matching, uploading invoices, coding invoices, approving raw material receipts, and reconciling raw material inventory for the ready-mix product line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with peers, supervisors, and managers to process purchase requests and purchase orders.
  • Administrate the purchase system, issue specialty purchase orders, and provide various PO reports to VP and managers.
  • Receive and code invoices from purchase orders and process them accurately for approval.
  • Assist in vendor management, including setting up new vendors, escalating payments for critical vendors, and following up with vendors as needed for payment statuses.
  • Data entry, facilitation of required paperwork, and support of month-end procedures as needed.
  • Assist in reconciling vendor statements, research, and process any missing invoices immediately.
  • Assist in reconciling raw material inventory.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Post-secondary education in business administration, finance, accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of administrative experience.
  • Experience in accounting, accounts payable, and/or bookkeeping.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and accounting software.
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
