About the Role

Clean Harbors is seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious professional to join our team as an InSite Specialist. This role is responsible for assisting in the collection, identification, and proper packaging and/or lab packing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste at our client sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the collection, identification, and proper packaging of hazardous and non-hazardous waste
  • Prepare computer-generated packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal restrictions notifications
  • Identify unknown laboratory chemicals when encountered
  • Perform inspections of staging, accumulating, and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance
  • Inspect storage areas for leaks or spills
  • Inspect drums for compliance with labeling regulations
  • Collect, segregate, and properly package waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance
  • Prepare all necessary tracking paperwork
  • Utilize waste management software to efficiently and accurately manage waste programs
  • Assign proper waste codes to all materials designated for disposal
  • Maintain and manage waste profile data
  • Evaluate specialty waste materials such as pharmaceuticals and batteries, determining disposal options
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Driver's License required
  • Science background preferred
  • Lab Pack experience preferred
  • 40 Hour OSHA, RCRA, and DOT preferred
  • Attention to detail, able to take and follow direction, and to perform multiple tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interface with customers
