Job Overview
The role of the Industrial Automation Specialist involves the development of automated systems tailored for production and manufacturing environments. This position will work closely with both departmental and corporate leadership to assess current automation capabilities and identify future opportunities, crafting comprehensive project roadmaps for automation initiatives that align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement industrial automation systems to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to pinpoint automation requirements and devise effective solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for automation projects.
• Program and configure PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces) for automated operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation systems, encompassing both hardware and software components.
• Perform regular maintenance and upgrades of automation systems to ensure peak performance.
• Develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures for automated processes.
• Provide training and technical support to operators and maintenance staff on automation systems.
• Monitor and analyze data from automation systems to identify improvement areas and optimize performance.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in industrial automation technology and propose innovative solutions to enhance operations.

Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a related discipline.
• In-depth knowledge of industrial automation systems and technologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as PLC, SCADA, and HMI.
• Experience in designing and implementing automation solutions for manufacturing processes.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for industrial automation systems.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to comply with all environmental, quality, and safety regulations.
• Must maintain a cooperative and positive attitude towards customers, colleagues, and the organization.
• Travel may be required up to 50%.
