Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled engineer to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in addressing the remediation of environmentally impacted media, particularly soil, groundwater, sediment, and vapor. To excel in this position, you must hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license and possess 10-20 years of relevant environmental experience, encompassing site characterization, remedial implementation, and site closure.

Your Responsibilities

As a key member of our Environmental Health and Safety team, your responsibilities will include:
  • Utilizing engineering and scientific principles to devise solutions within your area of expertise.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute multi-discipline strategies for remediation projects, employing both in-situ and ex-situ technologies.
  • Participating in project scoping, cost estimation, proposal development, and client presentations.
  • Establishing work procedures, developing schedules, budgets, staffing requirements, and vendor/subcontractor lists.
  • Delivering effective oral presentations and producing technical documentation, including work plans and reports.
  • Managing proposal preparation related to service lines, sectors, key accounts, and growth initiatives.
  • Preparing contract/design drawings, specifications, and bid documents for environmental remediation projects.
  • Monitoring milestones, deliverables, and compliance with established budgets and project specifications.
  • Planning, designing, and executing fieldwork to support remedial designs, including sampling and quality assurance activities.
  • Reviewing and analyzing financial data to assess project status and compliance.
  • Coordinating and overseeing subcontractor activities.
  • Mentoring junior staff to enhance their technical and professional skills.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess:
  • A BS or MS in Civil, Environmental, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • 10-20 years of environmental experience, from site characterization to remedial implementation and closure.
  • A valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in one or more states.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Strong teamwork skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A balance of office work and fieldwork, including technical design and project management.
  • OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour certification is preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is advantageous.
  • Experience in training or mentoring junior technical staff is a plus.
  • Active involvement in professional associations is encouraged.
