Senior Quality Assurance Manager

Role Summary:

We are in search of a committed Senior Quality Assurance Manager to spearhead our manufacturing facility's quality and regulatory compliance initiatives. This position is crucial in ensuring product safety, quality, and adherence to industry regulations while promoting a culture of ongoing enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance Leadership: Formulate and execute preventative quality systems while ensuring adherence to established policies.
  • Specification Compliance: Supervise quality evaluations for raw materials and finished goods, confirming that all specifications are fulfilled.
  • Training & Development: Educate and mentor staff on quality standards and protocols.
  • Complaint Management: Address customer grievances efficiently, delivering analytical results promptly.
  • Communication: Work in conjunction with sales and production teams to identify quality trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Budget Management: Develop and oversee the laboratory budget, pinpointing areas for cost savings and margin enhancement.
  • Audit & Compliance: Perform internal, vendor, and contract manufacturing audits to uphold high standards.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee off-spec materials, including scheduling and reprocessing as required.
  • Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with company, state, federal, and international safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years in QA management within manufacturing, particularly in the dairy sector, with knowledge of the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO).
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or a related discipline.
  • Skills:
    • In-depth understanding of laboratory testing methodologies and software applications.
    • Exceptional analytical and organizational capabilities.
    • Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to inspire and lead a team.
