Role Summary

We are looking for a committed Senior Quality Assurance Manager to spearhead our facility's quality and regulatory compliance initiatives. This position is crucial in ensuring product safety, quality standards, and compliance with regulations while promoting a culture of ongoing improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance Leadership: Design and implement proactive quality systems, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
  • Specification Compliance: Supervise quality assessments for raw materials and finished goods, confirming all specifications are fulfilled.
  • Training & Development: Educate and mentor staff on quality benchmarks and operational procedures.
  • Complaint Management: Address customer feedback efficiently, delivering analytical insights promptly.
  • Communication: Work in tandem with sales and production teams to identify quality trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Budget Management: Develop and oversee the laboratory budget, pinpointing areas for cost savings and margin enhancement.
  • Audit & Compliance: Execute internal, vendor, and contract manufacturing audits to uphold high standards.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee off-spec materials, including scheduling and reprocessing as needed.
  • Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with corporate, state, federal, and international safety and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 7+ years in QA management within manufacturing, specifically in the dairy sector, with knowledge of the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO).
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or a related discipline.
  • Skills:
    • In-depth understanding of laboratory testing methodologies and software applications.
    • Exceptional analytical and organizational capabilities.
    • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
