Job Overview

Position Summary
We are currently seeking a skilled Safety Coordinator to oversee safety protocols and training initiatives. Our organization is committed to maintaining the highest safety standards for both employees and clients, ensuring a secure working environment across various projects.

Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be tasked with:

  • Implementing and enforcing safety policies and procedures at construction sites and fabrication facilities.
  • Conducting comprehensive safety reviews and documenting findings for all projects.
  • Leading orientation sessions for new hires to instill safety awareness from the outset.
  • Facilitating live training sessions for designated safety roles, including Confined Space and Fall Protection.
  • Maintaining up-to-date safety documentation and records.
  • Conducting thorough investigations following any accidents or safety incidents.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with clients to foster trust and collaboration.
  • Providing guidance and support to employees to promote a culture of safety.
  • Being present during high-risk operations to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in construction safety management for large-scale projects.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant safety experience.
  • A solid understanding of OSHA and Cal-OSHA regulations.
  • The ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • OSHA 500 Certification or the ability to obtain it within six months.
  • First Aid and CPR training.
  • The capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills with the Company Loss Control Team.
