Athletic Brewing Company is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement EHS Programs: Create, implement, and maintain effective EHS programs to minimize risks and promote a culture of safety within the organization.
- Compliance and Regulatory Management: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate all incidents, illnesses, and deficiencies to identify root causes and necessary corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Training and Communication: Design and present material for recurring safety meetings, communicate departmental programmatic and procedural changes, and ensure all associated record keeping is maintained.
- Database Management: Maintain an injury reporting database, update files and supporting records, and accurately enter injury and illness data to ensure compliance.
- Regulatory Updates and Trends: Stay abreast of changing regulations and EHS trends to ensure the organization remains compliant and up-to-date.
- Team Member Safety Orientation: Assist in the development of and conduct new team member safety orientation.
- Claims Management: Liaise with workers' compensation personnel to manage claims and expedite closure.
- Emergency Response Planning: Organize and perform emergency action drills, update emergency action training and documentation, and lead the emergency response team.
- Metrics and Data Analysis: Develop and update training materials, technical reports, and a wide range of metrics and data summaries.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize Google Workspace, MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Reader and PDF, and other web-based applications to maximize effectiveness and efficiency of the EHS Department.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Science, or other technical degree.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years environmental, health & safety experience.
- Skills: Strong knowledge and experience with EHS regulations and workers compensation law, refined communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Certifications: Possession of professional certifications ASP, CSP, CIH, CRM, CBCP, or other related certification preferred.
