Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at AllSTEM Connections. As an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Design and implement comprehensive safety programs to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses, including training programs, safety procedures, and emergency response plans.
  • Conduct Safety Inspections and Investigations: Conduct regular safety inspections and investigations to identify potential hazards and develop corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to environmental health and safety, including OSHA regulations.
  • Manage Safety Records and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records and documentation, including incident reports, training records, and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, HR, and facilities, to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in industrial hygiene, occupational safety, or a related field.
  • Experience: Two or more years of progressive safety engineering experience, with additional experience substituting for education.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Solid understanding of industrial hygiene and occupational safety principles and regulations, experience with OSHA inspections, lasers, radiation, and military safety, proficient in conducting training for all employee levels, advanced computer skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
