Position Overview: As a Lead Environmental Consultant, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive due diligence assessments and subsurface investigations, as well as managing environmental remediation projects across various sites in your designated region and occasionally on a national scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough environmental site assessments (Phase 1 and 2) and execute subsurface investigation and remediation tasks.
  • Collect samples of soil, groundwater, soil gas, and indoor air to facilitate site characterization.
  • Prepare detailed environmental site assessment reports and other technical documentation, ensuring the accuracy of data and summary tables.
  • Support senior project managers in coordinating multiple project functions to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Assist in managing project budgets, timelines, and performance metrics.
  • Contribute to the selection and oversight of project staff and subcontractors.
  • Develop and implement Health and Safety Plans and Job Safety Analyses for various sites.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Phase II Subsurface Investigations, and remediation activities.
  • Strong understanding of local and regional regulatory frameworks and standards.
  • Prior experience with Property Condition Assessments is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient technical writing abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Capability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required; experience with CAD or GIS systems is a plus.

Additional Information:

  • OSHA HAZWOPER 40-Hour training certification is required; training may be provided if necessary.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction training certification is also required (training provided if necessary).
  • Willingness to travel regionally up to 100%, including occasional overnight and extended stays.
  • A valid driver's license is essential for this role due to frequent travel requirements.
