OFFICE OVERVIEW:
The School of Education is dedicated to equipping future educators with the necessary skills for initial roles in various educational settings, including public, private, and parochial institutions. Additionally, it offers advanced degrees and certifications for current educators and administrators seeking to enhance their professional qualifications.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The MAEL Recruiter will play a pivotal role in the recruitment efforts for the 30-unit MAEL degree programs, focusing on Social Emotional Learning, Character, and Ethics, as well as Cognition, Motivation, and Development. This position is integral to advancing the university's mission.
APPOINTMENT PROCESS:
Recommendations will be made by the Dean of the School of Education and require approval from the Executive Vice President/Provost.
COLLABORATIVE RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports directly to the Dean of the School of Education and the Director of MAEL, while also collaborating with the Director of Graduate Admissions and other campus personnel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To excel in this role, the individual must effectively execute the following duties:
MAEL Program Development:
- Collaborate with the Director of MAEL to devise a comprehensive recruitment strategy, encompassing phone outreach, email correspondence, and face-to-face engagements.
- Engage in weekly meetings with the Director of MAEL to evaluate recruitment strategies, achievements, and objectives.
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential organizations, educational institutions, and individuals to disseminate MAEL information and resources.
- Initiate contact with relevant groups and individuals via phone, email, or in-person discussions to promote MAEL options, maintaining organized records of all interactions.
- Facilitate upcoming information sessions hosted by the School of Education.
- Provide leads for the graduate admissions pipeline, either directly or through an agreed-upon database system.
- Collaborate with Graduate Admissions as necessary to share updates and implement suggested initiatives.
- Work alongside the Associate VP of Enrollment Services and/or Director of Graduate Admissions to establish and manage a budget for promotional materials and recruiting resources.
- Achieve enrollment targets by filling at least one full cohort for each MAEL program during designated terms.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required, along with one to two years of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Willingness to acquire new job-related skills.
- Understanding of appropriate professional behavior and attire within a Christian university context.
