Supervised Visitation Specialist

At Employment Opportunity & Training Center of NE PA, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Supervised Visitation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Parent Child Programs department, you will play a vital role in facilitating safe and healthy interactions between custodial and non-custodial parents/caregivers and their children.
Key Responsibilities:- Schedule and supervise visits between non-custodial parents/caregivers and children, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Conduct thorough intake evaluations to assess physical and emotional parenting skills/knowledge, boundary setting, and overall parent-child interaction.
- Perform comprehensive note-taking using DAP format and regularly write and submit reports to the court, which may include testifying in court.
- Act as a liaison and family intermediary between custodial and noncustodial caregivers, the court system, and other service providers.
- Regular data entry (Excel and agency database) and file maintenance.
- Represent the agency in community or in interagency activities.
- Attend professional development opportunities when available.
- Master's or Bachelor's degree; and 3 to 5 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Background in the counseling/mental health field preferred.
- Microsoft Office skills and accurate typing/data entry skills required.
This position requires regular evening hours and the ability to work a flexible schedule. The Supervised Visitation Specialist may occasionally encounter an angry or threatening client who is under the influence of alcohol/drugs and/or be exposed to potential hostile domestic relations, as cases can include protection from abuse orders (PFA's). There are occasional cases where allegations of abuse/sexual abuse have been made.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds.
