Job Title: Supervised Visitation Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Supervised Visitation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Parent Child Programs department, you will play a vital role in facilitating safe and healthy interactions between custodial and non-custodial parents/caregivers and their children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and supervise visits between non-custodial parents/caregivers and children, ensuring a safe and neutral environment.
  • Conduct thorough intake evaluations to assess physical and emotional parenting skills/knowledge, boundary setting, and overall parent-child interaction.
  • Perform comprehensive note-taking using DAP format and submit regular reports to the court, which may include testifying in court.
  • Act as a liaison and family intermediary between custodial and non-custodial caregivers, the court system, and other service providers.
  • Regularly update and maintain accurate records in Excel and our agency database.
  • Represent the agency in community or interagency activities and attend professional development opportunities when available.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Background in the counseling/mental health field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain neutral in high-conflict situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accurate typing/data entry skills.

Work Environment:

This position requires regular evening hours and the ability to work a flexible schedule. You will occasionally encounter challenging situations, but our team is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment.
