About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and self-motivated Paralegal to join our team at Rhodium Shared Services LLC. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide critical support in the day-to-day functions of the department, including drafting and organizing documents, docketing important deadlines, and assisting with insurance-related matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting correspondence, preparing analyses, and preparing other legal documents.
  • Collaboration within the legal department, across business divisions, and with outside counsel.
  • Maintaining insurance records, filing insurance claims, and collaborating with insurance brokers.
  • Assistance with corporate entity formation and maintenance.
  • Project management, assistance with docketing of significant litigation, transactional, regulatory compliance, and contractual deadlines.
  • Managing active legal disputes and investigations, including litigation holds, discovery, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Assistance with management of active transactions, including due diligence, data room management, and closing checklists.
  • Managing approval process for key documents using a document management system.
  • Assistance with HR and employment policies and procedures.
  • Managing invoices and payments to outside counsel, insurance carriers, etc.
  • Maintaining the legal budget in partnership with our Assistant General Counsel.
Requirements
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience working as a paralegal in a corporate setting with a background in project management, corporate governance, and litigation.
  • Minimum five years' experience working as a paralegal.
  • Ability to work and collaborate effectively and seamlessly during normal business hours on a remote basis.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to attend periodic in-person meetings and/or special projects.
  • A team player who is willing to pitch in as needed to support this early-stage company, including by performing administrative and clerical tasks as may be needed from time to time.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook required.
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
