POSITION OVERVIEW

This role involves the conceptualization, definition, and layout of comprehensive wiring for aircraft interiors, alongside supporting calculations for grounding and bonding, as well as associated certification documentation. You will be responsible for creating and reviewing 2D drawings of electrical systems, components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies as necessary. A strong commitment to timely project completion and alignment with the company's core values is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement fundamental aircraft wiring designs and methodologies while developing aircraft interior wiring systems.
  • Utilize specifications, customer requirements, and engineering drawings in the design of aircraft interior wiring systems.
  • Generate precise drawings, including wiring diagrams, wire harnesses, and electrical installations, ensuring adherence to drawing release timelines.
  • Compose test plans, reports, and analyses, such as electrical load assessments, electromagnetic interference test plans, and passenger address system validations.
  • Review drawings and prepare engineering change notices (ECNs) as necessary to facilitate manufacturing processes.
  • Create quality designs, assessing cost, safety, and manufacturability within project timelines.
  • Compile drawings, reports, and other engineering documentation required for production, testing, and qualification of designed equipment.
  • Serve as a liaison during initial production runs to address engineering challenges encountered in manufacturing and assist production personnel with electrical design needs.
  • Understand and apply aerospace/OEM standard practices in engineering documentation.
  • Evaluate supplier lead times, costs, and availability for electrical components and parts.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of airworthiness requirements for passenger aircraft interiors.
  • Exhibit a foundational understanding of electrical engineering principles, particularly in power systems.
QUALIFICATIONS - Education, Knowledge, and Experience

Education:
  • A High School Diploma is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
Experience:
  • Level I: 0-2 years of engineering experience.
  • Level II: 2-5 years of engineering experience.
  • Level III: 5+ years of experience, including at least 1 year of leading or mentoring assigned employees.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. For positions at an ITAR facility, U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status is required.
