Aircraft Electrical Systems Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW
The role involves the conceptualization, definition, and layout of comprehensive wiring systems for aircraft interiors, along with the necessary grounding and bonding calculations and associated certification documentation. Responsibilities include creating and verifying 2D drawings for electrical systems, components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies as needed. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to timely project completion while embodying the company's core values.

- Implement fundamental aircraft wiring designs and methodologies while developing aircraft interior wiring systems.
- Utilize specifications, customer requirements, and engineering drawings in the design of aircraft interior wiring systems.
- Generate precise drawings, including wiring diagrams, wire harnesses, and electrical installations, ensuring adherence to drawing release schedules.
- Draft test plans, reports, and analyses, such as electrical load assessments and electromagnetic interference test plans.
- Review drawings and prepare engineering change notices (ECNs) as necessary to support manufacturing processes.
- Develop high-quality designs, considering cost, safety, and manufacturability within project timelines.
- Prepare drawings, reports, and other engineering documentation required for production, testing, and qualification of designed systems.
- Act as a liaison during initial production runs to address engineering challenges encountered in manufacturing and assist production personnel with electrical design needs.
- Understand and apply aerospace/OEM standard practices in engineering documentation.
- Evaluate supplier lead times, costs, and availability for electrical components and materials.
- Apply knowledge of airworthiness requirements for passenger aircraft interiors.
- Utilize foundational knowledge of electrical engineering, particularly in power systems.
Education:
- A High School Diploma is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Level I: 0-2 years of engineering experience.
- Level II: 2-5 years of engineering experience.
- Level III: 5+ years of experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership or mentoring role.

- Must be authorized to work in the United States; for positions at an ITAR facility, U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status is required.
