Job Description:

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is actively seeking Lead Electrical Systems Engineers to join our Commercial Modifications and Engineering Special Projects team.

As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will collaborate with system stakeholders to create electrical designs and documentation.

Your role will involve producing electrical systems that facilitate post-production modifications across a range of aircraft, from McDonnell Douglas MD series to the latest Boeing 777X.

BGS offers commercial airline clients engineering solutions to modify and enhance avionics on their aircraft as a contracted service.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain detailed designs for cable/wire harnesses and assemblies.
• Analyze results and conduct design reviews.
• Create and maintain detailed designs for electrical products, assemblies, and installations (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing, and geometry).

• Provide engineering design resolutions for discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests).
• Document processes, specifications, and procedures that support the design and manufacturing of electrical components.
• Analyze functional and physical inputs to ensure the development of a comprehensive integrated design.
• Collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from relevant data sources.
• Engage in verification, validation, certification, and qualification processes and procedures (e.g., DO-160 and D6 requirements), including knowledge of governing regulations and compliance requirements.
• Assess and document test or analysis data to demonstrate compliance.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with verification, validation, certification, and qualification processes and procedures (e.g., DO-160 and D6 requirements).
• Ability to assess and document test or analysis data to demonstrate compliance. Knowledge of Electrical and/or Environmental qualification test procedures is advantageous.
• Understanding of commercial aircraft FARs is beneficial.
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design and packaging techniques.
• Awareness of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) considerations related to electrical/electronic design (e.g., wire harness design, grounding, and shielding techniques).

• Ability to integrate hardware and software components into a functional system.
• Knowledge of testing and usability practices.

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).

Relocation:

Summary pay range:
