Sunbelt Rentals, the fastest-growing rental business in North America, is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Specialist. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment in the safest and most efficient manner to minimize downtime. Our fleet varies by location but primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty lines locations may feature large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas-related equipment.

Education or Experience Required:
  • High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training preferred
  • 3-5 years of mechanical experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction machinery, or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (21 years of age & CDL license may be required in some locations)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • May need to provide personal mechanic's tools
  • Understanding of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
  • Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) may be required based on location needs

The physical demands of this role include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as required.
