Aircraft Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the Air National Guard Units. As an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, modifying, and servicing aircraft systems, components, and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and Repair Aircraft Systems: Perform inspections, functional checks, and preventive maintenance on aircraft to ensure they are airworthy and meet safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and Repair Aircraft Components: Troubleshoot and repair aircraft components, including engines, transmissions, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and fuel systems.
- Install and Remove Aircraft Equipment: Install and remove aircraft equipment, including external tanks, tow reels, hoists, and pylons.
- Perform Maintenance on Support Equipment: Perform maintenance on support equipment, including inspection, repair, modification, and corrosion prevention.
- Inventory and Store Equipment: Inventory, control, store, and repair equipment, including 780 equipment.
- Provide Maintenance Data: Provide data for aircraft maintenance historical records, complete maintenance data collection, man-hour accounting, and other forms as required.
Requirements:
- Experience: Must have experience or training that has provided the candidate with the skill to remove and replace aircraft parts, accessories, and components, and to make adjustments and settings according to established specifications.
- Specialized Experience: Must have experience or training installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting, and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification.
- Education: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Working Conditions: This position is subject to rotating and night shift work. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
