Position Available: Equipment Maintenance Specialist

Location: Columbus, OH

Compensation: Negotiable ($)

Overview:

As an Equipment Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our plastic extrusion machinery. Your primary focus will be on conducting preventative maintenance, diagnosing equipment malfunctions, and executing repairs to maintain seamless production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective solutions to restore functionality.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting machinery to guarantee optimal performance.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery as per established schedules.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
  • Provide training and guidance to production personnel on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
  • Assist in maintaining the facility by performing necessary repairs and upgrades to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in maintenance related to extrusion processes, particularly pipe or profile extrusion.
  • Familiarity with material handling equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to comprehend safety regulations and protocols.
  • Preferred: Two years of vocational/technical training in electronics.
  • Minimum of five to ten years of maintenance or electrical experience.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Proficient in reading electronic schematics.
  • Experienced in troubleshooting electronic and hydraulic systems.
  • Basic mechanical skills.
  • Ability to interpret manuals and understand equipment capabilities.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Must possess and provide personal mechanic's tools.
