Job Overview

**Job Summary:**

The Clinical Specialist plays a pivotal role in covering cases and providing training to the surgical team on the safe and effective use of medical devices. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures and the ability to communicate complex information effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • **Case Coverage:** Provide clinical case coverage as assigned, ensuring seamless support to the surgical team.
  • **Sales and Marketing Support:** Collaborate with sales and marketing initiatives to drive business growth and expand market reach.
  • **Training and Development:** Train the surgical team to assist in achieving good patient outcomes and provide verbal support during training periods.
  • **Technical Acumen:** Develop and maintain technical expertise to serve as an educational and clinical resource for the team.
  • **Interactions with Healthcare Providers:** Demonstrate effective interactions with all healthcare providers, fostering strong relationships and ensuring excellent customer service.
  • **Equipment Maintenance:** Maintain and prepare equipment/kits for surgery and quality control audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • **Experience:** Minimum 4 years of experience in minimally invasive spine procedures utilizing fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI.
  • **Customer Relationship and Procedural Skill Development:** Proven experience in customer relationship development and procedural skill enhancement.
  • **Education:** High School Diploma or GED, or Associate's Degree with a minimum of 4 years in a clinical specialist or related medical role, preferably in a medical device company; or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years in a clinical specialist or related medical role, preferably in a medical device company.
  • **Location:** Ideal candidate will reside within 40 miles of Sacramento.
  • **Travel:** 20% travel, with an average of 1-2 nights per week in a hotel, covering the areas of Reno, Chico, Modesto, Sacramento, and Stockton.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • **Base Salary:** $90k+ with a variable bonus of up to $20k, paid out quarterly, resulting in a total OTE of $110k.
  • **Travel Expenses:** Travel expenses are fully covered.
  • **Car Allowance:** $700/month car allowance, plus gas or straight mileage options.
  • **Benefits:** Cell phone, computer, BCBS full benefits, and 401K up to 4% matching.
