Position Overview

The Chief Human Resources Officer is a pivotal leadership role within the organization, responsible for the strategic direction and management of all human resources functions. This position demands a seasoned professional with a comprehensive understanding of HR practices, payroll management, and benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities

The incumbent will oversee a wide array of human resource activities, including:

  • Talent Acquisition: Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract top talent. Manage the entire hiring process, from position creation to onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive workplace culture by building strong relationships with staff and management. Act as a trusted advisor to employees, addressing concerns and promoting a fair and equitable work environment.
  • Payroll and Benefits Management: Ensure accurate processing of payroll and benefits through the organization’s ERP systems. Maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations while providing guidance on employee benefits and compensation.
  • Collaboration with Educational Institutions: Work closely with other institutions within the higher education system to share best practices and enhance HR policies, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree from an accredited institution and have extensive experience in human resources, particularly in a leadership capacity. Candidates must demonstrate:

  • Expertise in HR management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Additional qualifications that will be considered favorably include:
