Clinical Support Specialist

Spurwink collaborates with Maine's Department of Health and Human Services to deliver expert clinical consultation and support services to the Office of Child and Family Services. This role specifically focuses on providing assistance to OCFS District 4.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will engage in training, guidance, and debriefing sessions for child protective case workers. This includes both individual and group support, case consultations, and interactive training sessions conducted in-person and remotely. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical consultation skills and a collaborative spirit, contributing to a compassionate and innovative team environment.
Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from $52,000 to $62,000, commensurate with experience and licensure.

- Deliver clinical consultation to OCFS child welfare personnel, both in-person and via phone.
- Review OCFS documentation to facilitate effective, case-specific clinical consultation.
- Provide Critical Incident and Stress Management (CISM) support to OCFS staff, including debriefing and crisis management assistance.
- Conduct in-person and virtual clinical training sessions for OCFS staff, preparing relevant materials and presentations.
- Stay updated on clinical and child welfare best practices to ensure high-quality training and consulting.
- Foster positive working relationships with OCFS staff and leadership to effectively address their clinical consultation and training needs.
- Participate in weekly supervision with the Project Supervisor and engage in an on-call rotation.
Educational Background:
A Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited institution is required. Preference will be given to candidates who are independently licensed in the state of Maine as an LCSW or LCPC, although conditional licenses will be considered. It is essential to maintain the required licensing and certification throughout employment with Spurwink in this role.
Professional Experience:
A minimum of three years of experience in foster care, child welfare, or mental health is required.
