Job Overview

Salary:
The Project Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the safe, efficient, and profitable execution of all project operations. This includes managing daily activities, coordinating with the Foreman, and addressing labor requirements to ensure timely project completion within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
The following duties are illustrative and not exhaustive:

  • Compile a comprehensive list of labor and equipment needs in collaboration with the project team.
  • Thoroughly understand the scope of each project and contract to accurately identify additional work requests.
  • Ensure adherence to Rifenburg Companies' Safety Policies and implement necessary disciplinary actions when required.
  • Maintain daily communication with the Owner's Representative regarding work completion and payment processes.
  • Uphold quality control standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Order necessary labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to meet project timelines.
  • Prepare weekly schedules for all labor, equipment, and subcontractors involved.
  • Monitor project quantities and ensure agreement with inspectors.
  • Assist and supervise the Foreman in directing personnel and resources.
  • Oversee the daily maintenance of project equipment.
  • Foster positive relationships with local officials, residents, and inspectors to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Support recruitment, orientation, and training of qualified personnel.
  • Regularly review budget and cost reports to ensure financial compliance.
  • Audit daily logs and records to track job conditions and progress.

Qualifications:
This role requires a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, typically acquired through five or more years of supervisory experience in the field. A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is mandatory.

Supervisory Duties:
This position involves managing Foremen who lead crews. Responsibilities include training staff, planning and assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and addressing any issues that arise.
