Job Overview

Salary:
The Construction Project Coordinator is tasked with the safe, effective, and profitable oversight of all project operations. This includes managing the daily activities of the Foreman and ensuring that labor requirements are communicated effectively to meet project timelines and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
The following duties are illustrative and not exhaustive of all responsibilities that may be assigned.

  • Compile a comprehensive list of labor and equipment needs in collaboration with the project team.
  • Acquire a deep understanding of the scope and contracts of each assigned project to identify when additional work is requested.
  • Ensure adherence to Rifenburg Companies' Safety Policies on-site and implement necessary disciplinary actions when required.
  • Maintain daily communication with the Owner's Representative to clarify and assign appropriate payment for completed work.
  • Oversee quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Order necessary labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to ensure timely project completion.
  • Prepare weekly schedules for all labor, equipment, trucking, supplies, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project quantities and ensure agreement with inspectors.
  • Assist and supervise the Foreman in directing personnel, equipment, and subcontractors as needed.
  • Ensure proper care and maintenance of project equipment.
  • Foster positive relationships with local officials, residents, inspectors, and owners to ensure acceptance of completed work.
  • Support recruitment, orientation, and training of qualified personnel.
  • Regularly review cost and budget reports to ensure the project remains within financial limits.
  • Audit daily logs and written records of job conditions and progress.

Qualifications:
This role requires a comprehensive understanding of construction activities, typically acquired through five or more years of supervisory experience in the field. A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is essential.

Supervisory Duties:
This position will oversee Foremen who manage crews. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining staff, and addressing complaints and resolving issues.
