Position Summary:

The Senior Human Resources Specialist will be instrumental in managing the comprehensive range of HR activities within the organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations:
    • Serve as a primary contact for employees, offering guidance and support on HR-related matters.

    • Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement, morale, and retention, particularly in the context of eldercare services.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding:
    • Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and selection.
    • Oversee onboarding and orientation processes to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the organization and understand the unique needs of the elderly population we serve.
  • Performance Management:
    • Develop and implement performance management processes, including performance evaluations and goal setting.
    • Provide coaching and support to managers in managing employee performance, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and services to the elderly.
  • Policy Development & Compliance:
    • Ensure the organization's HR policies are current and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations, especially those related to eldercare.
    • Offer guidance on employment law and company policies to management and staff.
  • Training & Development:
    • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs, particularly those that enhance skills in working with the elderly.
    • Support career development initiatives to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
  • HR Administration:
    • Oversee HR administrative tasks such as maintaining employee records, benefits administration, and payroll.
    • Manage HR metrics and reporting to support decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in HR management or a similar role, preferably within the healthcare or eldercare sector.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Relevant HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, etc., are required.
