Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a primary contact for employees, offering guidance and support on HR-related matters.
- Promote a positive workplace culture by addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts.
- Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement, morale, and retention, particularly in the context of eldercare services.
- Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and selection.
- Oversee onboarding and orientation processes to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the organization and understand the unique needs of the elderly population we serve.
- Performance Management:
- Develop and implement performance management processes, including performance evaluations and goal setting.
- Provide coaching and support to managers in managing employee performance, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and services to the elderly.
- Policy Development & Compliance:
- Ensure the organization's HR policies are current and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations, especially those related to eldercare.
- Offer guidance on employment law and company policies to management and staff.
- Training & Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs, particularly those that enhance skills in working with the elderly.
- Support career development initiatives to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
- HR Administration:
- Oversee HR administrative tasks such as maintaining employee records, benefits administration, and payroll.
- Manage HR metrics and reporting to support decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in HR management or a similar role, preferably within the healthcare or eldercare sector.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Relevant HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, etc., are required.
