Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team at Unity Care NW. As a Substance Use Disorder Counselor, you will provide diagnosis and treatment to unhoused individuals with a significant co-occurring mental health component in nonclinical settings. You will work alongside a Family Nurse Practitioner, Medical Assistant, BH Consultant, and Case Manager to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, with the possibility of split hours between The Way Station and our Bellingham Behavioral Health clinic. You will have the opportunity to work in a unique and challenging environment, providing empathy-forward and trauma-informed care to our patients.

Requirements
  • Washington State Department of Health Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) certification
  • Associate degree in human services or related field, or successful completion of 90 quarter or 60 semester college credits in courses from an approved school
  • A full understanding of all aspects of the profession
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as the ability to learn other systems used at UCNW
