About the Role

The City of Charlotte is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our Development Services team. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our Land Development Section, Right-of-Way Section, and Special Events team, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Concur travel requests and MUNIS financial entries
  • Provide administrative support to CDOT's Land Development Section, Right-of-Way Section, and Special Events team
  • Respond to general public inquiries for transportation-related services
  • Schedule coordination meetings with various government agencies
  • Process orders for supplies and other Division purchases
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of official division/departmental communications

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent and one year(s) of related work experience
  • Or 2 Year College Degree

Working Conditions

This role is performed in an indoor office environment with moderate exposure to atmospheric conditions and frequent exposure to computer screens, files, and phone.

Preferred Qualifications

  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the essential job duties
