Job Title: Assistant Branch Manager

At Jetro Restaurant Depot, we're seeking an experienced Assistant Branch Manager to oversee the general operations of our Everett, Massachusetts branch. If you have a proven track record in managing large teams in a high-volume environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the overall operations of the branch, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with customers, addressing their issues effectively.
  • Review financial and operational reports, taking necessary actions based on report results.
  • Direct subordinates to ensure efficient warehouse operations, including safety, sanitation, inventory, merchandising, receiving, stocking, order pulling, shipping, and in-store customer service.
  • Define service standards and operational mission, communicating it to employees and monitoring activities to meet branch goals.
  • Maximize sales opportunities by ensuring high levels of customer service and proper workforce scheduling.
  • Manage selection, annual performance appraisals, and professional development of all Management-level personnel.
  • Directly supervise and manage department managers, coaching them on employee relation issues.
  • Maintain communication with Corporate Offices to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Review inventory regularly to ensure accuracy and products are in-house.
  • Complete and process necessary reports and paperwork accurately and timely.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 4 years of management experience in food service or grocery distribution.
  • A proven track record in running a high-volume warehouse operation.
  • Experience with P&L, Inventory control, merchandising, hiring/training staff, front end, merchandising, cash control, payroll, security/loss prevention.
  • Ability to develop strong business relationships with customers.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Experience in managing and coaching staff.
  • Ability to complete necessary reports and paperwork timely and accurately.
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required).
