Job Title: Assistant Branch Manager - Big Box and Food Retail Expert

Carrie Rikon & Associates, LLC. is seeking an experienced Assistant Branch Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the Branch, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage daily Branch operations, including personnel, inventory, and customer service.
  2. Develop and maintain strong business relationships with customers, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
  3. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  4. Review financial and operational reports, taking necessary actions to drive business growth.
  5. Direct subordinates to ensure timely and accurate management of all warehouse operations.
  6. Define and communicate service standards and operational mission to employees.
  7. Maximize sales opportunities by ensuring high levels of customer service and proper scheduling of the workforce.
  8. Manage selection, performance appraisals, and professional development of Management level personnel.
  9. Directly supervise and manage department managers.
  10. Coach managers on employee relation issues, including new hires, transfers, promotions, demotions, and disciplinary action.
  11. Maintain communication with Corporate Offices to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  12. Review inventory on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and product availability.
  13. Complete and process necessary reports and paperwork accurately and timely.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required).
  2. Minimum 4 years management experience in food service or grocery distribution in a supermarket, club warehouse, big box, or mass merchandising environment.
  3. Background in P&L, inventory control, merchandising, hiring/training staff, front end, merchandising, cash control, payroll, security/loss prevention mandatory.
  4. Strong leadership skills, capable of running a high volume warehouse operation.
  5. Excellent communication, organizational, and people management/training skills.
  6. Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation.
  7. Must have background in big box, food service, or food retail.

Work Environment:

  1. Work is performed in a warehouse environment with moderate temperatures, cold areas, and hot areas.
  2. Must be able to stand/walk for up to 4 hours without a break.
  3. Physical labor is infrequent but may be required to move merchandise or clean areas.
  4. Industrial vehicles (forklifts, Hilo) move material throughout the warehouse.

Salary: 65K plus bonus and benefits
