About Our Houston Campus

Our state-of-the-art facility located north of Houston is the hub for our Upstream, Product Solutions, and Low Carbon Solutions sectors, along with their respective service teams. Opened in 2014, this campus accommodates over 10,000 employees and visitors.

Your Role

ExxonMobil is looking for a qualified and seasoned professional to deliver reservoir engineering technical support and expertise for Conventional Oil & Gas development initiatives and production operations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate optimal asset development and effective reservoir management.

Utilize core reservoir engineering competencies in reservoir characterization, development and depletion planning, opportunity identification, and production enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

- Planning, assessing, and executing field development and drilling programs.

- Identifying critical reservoir uncertainties and providing actionable recommendations to mitigate financial and operational risks, thereby enhancing decision-making quality.

- Enhancing reservoir descriptions through fluid analysis, core evaluations, well testing interpretations, and production performance assessments.

- Conducting production forecasts and reserves evaluations to support depletion strategies and production optimization efforts.

- Analyzing reservoir and well performance data to establish reservoir surveillance programs and management activities.

- Developing and/or applying innovative reservoir engineering technologies to support business objectives.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, preferably in Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering; advanced degrees (Master's/PhD) are also welcomed.

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in conventional Reservoir Engineering is essential.

- Previous experience in reservoir performance prediction, asset development and depletion planning, reserves assessment, reservoir surveillance and optimization, volume forecasting, economic analysis, and data management is preferred.

- Candidates should demonstrate self-motivation and a focus on achieving business outcomes while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership skills are crucial.

Preferred Experience

- Pressure Transient Testing.

- Fluid sampling and analysis.

- Enhanced Oil Recovery techniques.

- Core Analysis methodologies.
