Job Summary

The Director of Housekeeping is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the housekeeping and laundry departments at HC&N Healthcare Solutions. This role requires a strong leader who can manage staff, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management: Supervise and direct housekeeping and laundry staff to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Cleaning Operations: Develop and implement cleaning schedules, protocols, and procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Supply Management: Oversee the purchasing, storage, and distribution of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory levels of facility linen and cleaning supplies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, such as JCAHO, OBRA, OSHA, LSC, IDPH, and HFS.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and in-service programs for housekeeping and laundry staff.
  • Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Leadership and Management: Proven leadership and management experience, with a strong track record of staff management and development.
  • Administrative Skills: Excellent administrative, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including JCAHO, OBRA, OSHA, LSC, IDPH, and HFS.
  • Education and Training: High school diploma or equivalent, with some business and personnel management training preferred.
