NOTE:


Candidates selected for this position will be expected to work onsite from Day 1, following a hybrid work model of 2 to 3 days in the office. Preference will be given to local candidates.

JOB SUMMARY:
As a vital member of the Information Technology Group, the Cloud Platform Engineering (CPE) team provides businesses with innovative and dependable infrastructure services. Our aim is to leverage the diverse expertise of our workforce to minimize risk and enhance the efficiency, performance, stability, security, and quality of our platforms.

The Solution Design Services team is responsible for transforming business requirements into technical functional designs across various technology stacks, including server infrastructure, virtualization, storage, networking, and operating systems.

The Lead Platform Engineer will concentrate on the Private Cloud and must possess a robust background in automation and orchestration.


Job Responsibilities:
  1. Review outcomes and document orchestration flows.
  2. Propose innovative and standardized orchestration flows to achieve desired outcomes.
  3. Engage in project planning processes and identify technical requirements.
  4. Create technical design specifications and assist in sizing technical requirements.
  5. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on projects focused on multi-tenant, dedicated private, public, and multi-site solutions, with a strong emphasis on RESTful APIs.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, gather automation requirements, design automated tests, troubleshoot issues, and implement scalable automation solutions.
  7. Define and implement efficient end-to-end provisioning of automation solutions.
  8. Conduct Proofs of Concept (POCs) to demonstrate new ideas and solidify technical direction.
  9. Maintain and enhance effective partnerships with Build, Operations, and Engineering teams to drive service improvements.
  10. Stay current on IT trends relevant to their area of expertise (e.g., Agile, DevOps, Cloud).
  11. Support and/or execute testing efforts throughout the project lifecycle.
  12. Ensure compliance with standards, policies, and procedures.

Talents Needed for Success:
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience managing infrastructure.
  • 3+ years of experience with JavaScript and Python scripting.
  • Experience in delivering Infrastructure as Code capabilities.
  • Functional knowledge of DevSecOps principles.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Expertise in data-driven automation.
  • Intense focus on data quality and the use of systems of record to drive standardization and automation.
