Role Summary

We are currently seeking a Sales Manager to join our team. The Sales Manager is responsible for providing daily, weekly, and monthly guidance to our Fitness Consultant team, inspiring new members to embrace fitness as a lifestyle. This role requires leading by example to foster a robust sales culture within the club and collaborating effectively with the team to drive impactful change through fitness.

Sales Managers are integral members of the club leadership team and oversee a segment of the hourly staff. Availability includes weekends, evenings, and early mornings; occasional travel may be necessary. Reports directly to the Club Manager.

Daily Responsibilities

Leadership:

Cultivate and sustain a high-achieving sales team through coaching and accountability. Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and advancement of Fitness Consultants. Develop and mentor new or promoted Fitness Consultants. Identify and nurture high-potential talent. Regularly acknowledge and reward outstanding performance. Provide continuous coaching and constructive feedback. Establish sales schedules for optimal labor hour utilization, pending Club Manager's approval.

Performance Focus:

Meet personal and club revenue targets for memberships and retail. Oversee daily sales operations and guide the sales team to fulfill revenue objectives. Organize and promote special events. Break down and allocate daily sales revenue targets to the sales team. Communicate revenue and production updates to Club Leadership. Ensure compliance with Fitness Connection systems and standards. Support club presentation and upkeep. Guarantee consistent execution of retail programs.

Personal Contribution:

Develop and implement proactive sales strategies, lead from the front, and adapt approaches based on real-time outcomes. Generate sales leads through various channels, including referrals and formal presentations. Conduct club tours for prospective members and guests. Effectively promote and sell memberships and products. Maintain accurate records of sales activities. Stay informed about company pricing and promotions.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; College Degree preferred. External candidates should possess a minimum of 12 months of relevant experience with a proven track record, ideally in the fitness sector. Internal promotions necessitate at least six months as a high-performing Fitness Consultant with Fitness Connection. Must have a solid understanding of the fitness industry and essential sales skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to new technology systems. Valid state driver's license and a clean driving record required. Will undergo a criminal background check as a condition of employment. Physical requirements include daily standing, walking, sitting, lifting, bending, and reaching. Must be fluent in written and spoken English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
