Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Services Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for welcoming patients, visitors, and staff, registering patients for appointments, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the office for daily activities, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
  • Screen visitors and respond to routine requests for information, providing accurate and timely assistance
  • Greet patients arriving for appointments, ensuring all necessary paperwork and insurance information are up to date and correct
  • Collect co-pays and issue receipts as necessary
  • Notify physician offices and clinic staff of patient arrivals, ensuring seamless communication
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient information in our electronic medical record system
  • Check films in through the computer database, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Answer telephones and transfer callers to the appropriate staff member, providing exceptional customer service
  • Scan all necessary paperwork into the EMR, including outside records, to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in special committees, contributing to the growth and development of our team

  • Dress appropriately and professionally, reflecting the high standards of our organization
  • Work independently, without direct supervision, and complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner
  • Provide excellent oral, written, and telephone communication, along with tact and diplomacy, to ensure exceptional customer service
  • Prioritize work activities and accept multiple job duties, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
  • Maintain effective working relationships with physicians, administration, and other staff members, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment
Education and Experience
  • Prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred, but not required
  • Some knowledge of medical terminology is desirable, but not mandatory
