Job Description

At Founding Farmers, we're seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Line Cook, you'll play a vital role in our kitchen operations, responsible for efficiently preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meats, seafood, poultry, and vegetables using a range of kitchen equipment and techniques.
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure smooth service.
  • Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and corresponding equipment.
  • Follow proper rules of hygiene and food-safety measures to ensure all food prep areas and all food-storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards.

Requirements:

  • One year plus of cooking experience, preferably at least six months experience in a similar capacity in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced, loud kitchen environment.
  • High level of professionalism.
  • Passion for hospitality and food.
  • Able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Able to read and follow a recipe to standards.
  • Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more a day in a confined area with fluctuating temperatures.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, as needed.
  • Continuous bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and use of hands and arms.
