Senior Revenue Accountant

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Revenue Accountant to join our Quote to Cash Team at AppFolio, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing contracts, billing customers, and recording revenue in accordance with company policy and US GAAP.
Key Responsibilities
- Review contracts and ensure compliance with revenue recognition rules and contract terms.
- Support the monthly close process by preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux analysis.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new accounting systems, processes, and system automation.
- Document processes for various revenue streams and support an innovative environment that can scale as the business grows.
- Work with cross-functional partners on an ongoing basis to support business processes and special projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, reporting, and compliance.
- CPA required.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc).
- Excellent knowledge of US GAAP and ability to drive resolution of technical accounting issues.
