We are seeking a qualified individual for the position of Chief of Hospitalist Medicine, responsible for overseeing the Hospitalist program within the Department of Medicine. This role involves leading a dedicated team of hospitalists and enhancing the operational effectiveness of our services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with hospitalist standards and clinical best practices.
- Develop and implement evidence-based policies to promote patient safety and therapeutic efficacy.
- Conduct performance evaluations of hospitalist physicians, focusing on their professional skills and patient interactions.
- Collaborate with the Department of Medicine for performance assessments and physician recruitment.
- Review feedback regarding program performance and physician behavior, providing constructive guidance to the team.
- Supervise patient assessment initiatives, utilization reviews, and quality assurance measures.
- Regularly review patient records to assess documentation quality and appropriateness of care.
- Provide education to hospitalists on proper documentation and coding practices.
The Chief of Hospitalist Medicine will play a pivotal role in collaborating with hospital administration and medical staff to uphold the highest standards of patient care. This position is integral to the growth and development of the Hospitalist program within a leading health system.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess an MD/DO or equivalent degree and be board eligible in Internal Medicine and/or Family Medicine.
