Role Purpose:

The Provider Network Consultant is responsible for offering effective support to participating healthcare providers across designated regions including Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and Mongolia. This role focuses on managing daily interactions and relationships between Bupa Global and its network of providers, enhancing their experience through proactive and informative service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with healthcare providers, ensuring regular and proactive communication.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues in Healthcare Services, Claims, and Bupa Asia.
  • Set clear expectations with providers regarding response times for inquiries.
  • Assist claims and service teams with inquiries related to local providers.
  • Support the development of new products, particularly in relation to pre-authorization processes and provider networks.
  • Investigate outstanding account statements from participating providers.
  • Facilitate provider contracting and network establishment in specified regions.
  • Maintain accurate records in SWAN systems regarding contracted providers.
  • Ensure valid contact information is recorded for each ProviderWorld user.
  • Generate regular reports on activities and savings in agreed formats.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls related to general provider inquiries and ProviderWorld.
  • Assist claims and service departments with questions regarding local pricing and billing practices.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the global health insurance sector or relevant skills from financial services industries such as Life Insurance, Healthcare, or Banking.
  • Prior experience in complex, customer-facing roles within a contact center environment.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding productivity and quality benchmarks.
  • Strong customer focus with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to speak an additional language (besides English and Mandarin) is a plus, with Japanese and Korean being advantageous.
